Saw tooth herb is called so because of the saw like edges of the leaves. It has strong coriander like flavor and smell. It is usually used for garnishing curries. It is also added in salads. Also called foreign Coriander and commonly found in
- ketumbar jawa in Malaysia
- pak chee farang in Thailand
- ngo gai in Vietnam
- and Awa Phadigom in Manipuri which literally translates to Wild Coriander.
It can be easily planted in a pot and plucked freshly whenever needed. Believe it adds to the flavor all the more.
